The hotel is located just outside the old town of Tallinn. It offers easy access to the historic centre and is within a short taxi ride from the city’s small airport. The architecture is a mix of influences and locals seem mostly friendly with a very good command of English.
In this season, and this far north, the nights are very short. Thanks to the thick curtains, I was nonetheless able to sleep until a reasonable time in the morning. The bed wasn’t very comfortable though, and it was a fake double bed. Thankfully duvets were provided, although they each covered one side of the bed. On a more positive side, wifi is free and easy to access while the room is spacious and very quiet. I also liked the bathroom with its underfloor heating.
It gives me great sadness to say that the food was never a match for the locals’ friendliness. I had not tasted orange juice this bad since a stay in an overrated hotel near Reims.
At about 80 euros a night, this is a very decent offering. Because of the breakfast, I will however search for other options if I have to return.
